FINTECH IS NOT ONE MARKET
A payments processor and a wealth app share a label, not a buyer. These common categories are a starting point; each one raises a question worth settling in the brief.
Processing, acceptance, payouts and cross-border transfers.
Business and consumer credit, BNPL and lending platforms.
Accounting, treasury, spend management and finance tools.
Digital banks, banking-as-a-service and core banking providers.
Investment platforms, brokerage apps and wealth tools.
Insurtech, regtech, fraud and identity verification.
Included and excluded categories.
Size and location within each subsector.
The functions that match your offer.
WHO TO REACH
In fintech, the right contact depends on what you sell. A banking partner, a software vendor and an agency usually need different people.
WHERE IS A FINTECH?
Fintechs often operate far from where they’re incorporated. Pick the rule that matches how you sell, and put it in the brief.
“Fintechs headquartered in the UK.” Clear and consistent: a company qualifies by where it is based.
“Fintechs serving customers in Nigeria.” Closer to how many partnerships work, but it needs an agreed test for “serving”.
NOT IN A STANDARD FILE
Fintech lists do not include regulatory permissions or licensing status, funding rounds, installed technology, or any consumer financial records. Each row is a professional contact at a business, with the standard field groups. Anything more is scoped as custom research.
There is no single definition, so it is agreed with your brief. Name the subsectors you want, such as payments, lending or financial software, and any you want left out.
Common choices are founders and CEOs, partnerships and business development leaders, and sales leadership. Other functions can be agreed in the brief.
You choose. Headquarters location is simpler to define; companies operating in a market but based elsewhere need an agreed rule before research starts.
No. Regulatory permissions and licensing status are not standard fields. Check them against the relevant regulator’s own records if they matter to your outreach.
No. Funding data is not a standard field and tech-stack enrichment is not offered. The file includes company size, industry and location.
No. Clean Rows lists are professional contacts at businesses. They contain no consumer financial records or information about customers of those companies.
