Clean Rows lists are built from publicly accessible business sources, scoped to your brief and checked before delivery. Here is the process, what “verified” does and doesn’t mean, and where the limits are.

These steps are the commitments in our Terms of Service. They apply to every paid list.

Criteria are agreed
Roles, companies, locations and exclusions come from your brief. We confirm what we can source before you pay.

Research follows the brief
Contacts are researched from the public sources above against the agreed criteria, rather than drawn from a large stored database of profiles.

Emails are checked
Business email addresses go through two independent email verification services before delivery.

The file is cleaned and reviewed
Duplicates are removed and the file is reviewed before it is delivered as a CSV or Google Sheet.
WHAT “VERIFIED” MEANS
A checked email,
not a promise.
“Verified” describes the result of email checks at the time of delivery. It is useful, and it has limits worth knowing before you send.
What it means
- The business email passed checks with two verification services
- The check happened before delivery
- Hard bounces on first send within 14 days are replaced free
What it doesn’t mean
- Guaranteed inbox placement or a reply
- Delivery past every company’s email security
- The person will still hold that job later
- Permission to contact the person
COVERAGE LIMITS
Where the data
runs out.
Public business information is uneven. These limits are set out in our Terms and Refund Policy, so they are not a surprise after delivery.
Mobile numbers
Included only where publicly available, typically for around 50–60% of rows. Check coverage in your sample.
Information changes
People change jobs and companies change. Rows can go out of date after delivery, and no row is guaranteed complete.
Narrow audiences
Some audiences are small. We confirm what can be sourced before you pay, rather than widening the brief.
PUBLIC IS NOT THE SAME AS PERMISSION
You decide how the data is used.
Public availability does not by itself make outreach lawful. Under our Terms, customers must follow the outreach laws that apply to them, say who they are and where they got the details, include a working opt-out and honor removal requests. This page is not legal advice.

- Ask what we hold about you and where it came from, and correct anything inaccurate.
- Be removed for good
- Email hello@cleanrows.com with the subject “Remove me”. You are added to a suppression list so you are not added again.
- Limited retention
- We keep a delivered file for 90 days for rebuilds and support, then delete it from working storage.
Where does Clean Rows get its data?
From publicly accessible business sources: public professional profiles such as LinkedIn, company websites, public business directories and registries, and public regulatory filings such as SEC filings.
Does Clean Rows buy or resell databases?
No. We do not buy or resell private databases. Lists are built to an agreed brief rather than drawn from a large stored database of profiles.
How are business emails checked?
Business email addresses are checked with two independent email verification services before delivery. Those services receive prospect email addresses only, not your details.
What happens if a verified email bounces?
If an email we marked as verified hard-bounces the first time you send to it, within 14 days of delivery, send the bounce report and we replace those rows free.
Is the data GDPR compliant?
Compliance depends on how the data is used, not only on where it came from. We publish a GDPR notice for the professionals in our lists, and our Terms set out what customers must do when contacting them.
How can someone be removed from Clean Rows lists?
Email hello@cleanrows.com with the subject “Remove me”. Removal is permanent: the person is added to a suppression list so they are not added again.
